Hence the question of the week is: Is Tinder Racist?
I will not tease you with this one. We already know that minorities receive less replies via OKCupid's analysis and probably the rest of the online dating world. The short answer is"Online dating is affected strongly by race tastes".
*Note, a few folks in the comments have noticed that its just taste rather than racism. So what we can say is that according to this experiment, Tinder results are heavily race-influenced (to a statistically significant degree). So is online dating. So is society. But the information may surprise you up to how much race affects are vs. what we anticipate.
Fortunately for us, I am Asian and super smart so I devised a super cool way to test Tinder's racism HAHA

For all those of you that do not know, Tinder is a fast growing program which allows consumers to"like" or"reject" a profile based on that person's picture. If both users"like" each other, a match is made and you may then message the individual. People praise it for weeding out the"creepy" factor because women get to choose which men they favor based on their Tinder images. Other men and women complain it is based on shallow factors such as one's photo and physical attributes.

Hypothesis: Tinder is racist*
*Repair: Tinder results are significant influenced by race (statistically significant 5% deviation)
Methodology to test theory:
I created 6 profiles of Different Kinds of people
I ran a hacked automated tool that enjoys everyone Locally on Tinder
Each profile had multiple pics and different tag lines, and I only included below the Principal profile pics
We listed the Amount of return enjoys in 24 hours, and also the Amount of messages every profile received
Thus, without further ado here are our contestants:
King is comparatively normal white man who we believe good looking. He does't have the coolest picture, simply pics together with his buddies hanging out

You may recognize Cas from the PUA community -- we had his pic to test out the"women like guys with muscle" theory. I have another friend who's latino and has a great deal of success with a shirtless pic on Tinder. Not all of Cas's pics are muscle pics, only his primary photo.

You'll have to believe me when I say I am a 8.5. I'm Asian too. Rather than the muscle route, we went with the"high class" company photo:

Profile #4: Vince Lin
Among our cherished Asian model / actors, Vince Lin was designed to symbolize the epitomize of Asian appearances and an"Asian 10". You may argue that his pic is not as friendly and the black and white distills emotions a little more than coloured ones, so this really is well worth another test with a unique Asian model who's working full-time in the usa. Yes, most of search terms being equal, white guys performed better than Asians, with the exclusion of the Asian version vs. ordinary white man.
Once We arrange the information to reflect conversions:

Our male version got the maximum conversion rate, but even then, it is only 10 percent of what the HB9 woman got! Women just have much more streaming inbox messages than men. Most ok-looking white women are open to matching, the real hotties never message first, and therefore are often on Tinder for dressing and will occasionally go out with a hunk of their choice at their time of choosing. The Majority of them get inundated with messages and likes on other sites, so Tinder's app allows them to really sew according to appearances

It's more probable that women are overwhelmed online, and also with Tinder, they are more selective about the types of men they like. The entire demand-supply issue is much more of a factor than race.
